Hanging out with Gram

My mom was here for almost 2 weeks to help me out around the house and take care of Grady! She was a huge help! I don't think I could have done these last few weeks without her, especially with Bryan back at work. She cooked lots of yummy meals and doled out lots of kisses for her grandbaby Grady. He cried when she left!

Sixth File, Sixth Picture

I copied this idea from Amy's blog. You're supposed to go under "my pictures" and post the sixth picture in your sixth file. Here's mine:
I back up my pictures really regularly, so I don't have an "oldie." But, this is us snowshoeing from January of this year, about a month before we found out I was pregnant with Grady. This year we can't wait to take him snowshoeing with us, he has his own backpack to ride with Dad!

My 6 Things

This list was sent to me from's like a chain email, but for your blog! You send it to six people and they pass it along, so if you feel up to it, it's your turn! (Fellow bloggers: Amy, Michelle, Lexi, Ashley)

My Six Favorite Things:

1. My husband, Bryan. He is SO good to me. No matter what life throws at us, he is always so steady and so assuring. He's definitely the optimist and always gets me to see the glass half full. I'm so blessed to have him as my husband. He's already such a great Dad, and I can't wait to see how his role as "Daddy" evolves as Grady gets older. Grady doesn't know how lucky he is!

2. My baby boy, Grady. He's just barely 3 weeks old, but has already brought so much joy to our lives. I never knew how much you could love a little guy. He's worth the sleepless nights and breastfeeding craziness. I can't wait to see his little personality come to life and make lots of memories!

3. My family. I wish we lived closer, but we enjoy getting to spend time with them visiting Montana and having them explore where we live too!

4. My Faith -- not to sound cliche, but this year has been very rough, and without prayer and the knowledge that God won't give me more than I can handle, it would have been a lot rougher!

5. My Friends. I love catching up with old friends -- the ones who have known me the longest, and I love my new(er) friends. Each city I move to I've made new friends -- it's amazing how loving people can be even when they've only known you a little while! (Thanks MOPS girls :)

6. My Pets. I love all of my pets, Berkley, our lab, and our kitties Oscar and Cabby, but Berkley specifically is my most faithful companion. I once got an e-mail that likened "dog" to mean "God on earth" because dog spelled backwards is god...I think this is so like my Berkley, he has total unconditional love for Bryan and me and is always ready to give a kiss to make it all better :)

Pumpkin Patch

We decided Grady needed a trip to the pumpkin patch. We went to Rock Creek Pumpkin Farm near our house, we were amazed at how many people were there! There were fields and fields of pumpkins. We had our own pruning shears to cut our own pumpkins from the vine. After we made our selections we picked up a carmel apple and headed home! Next year we'll stick around for the farm animals and hay bail maze for Grady when he's a little more alert :)

Grady's Firsts and other cute pics

Grady wasn't too sure about his first bath, but as soon as he was bundled up in his towel, he was a happy camper!

I love this picture! So sweet.

Bringing Grady Home

Monday, October 6th we were able to leave the hospital and bring Grady home!

We're so happy to have him home.

Grady had some cute smiles when Berkley kissed him though.

Baby K has arrived!

Grady Bryan Kreitzberg was born October 3, 2008 at 12:39 pm. He weighs 8lbs, 4oz and is 19-1/4 inches long! We are so excited to introduce him as our son! Here are some pictures.
Dad before going into the OR

After they cleaned Grady up they put him on my chest in the OR so we could meet. I don't remember a lot about being in the OR, but I remember seeing him for the first time. I couldn't believe he was mine!

He looks huge here, but he's tiny to us.
