The Butterfly Pavillion

Today we went to the Butterfly Pavillion with my friend, Jenn and her two boys, Kyle & Bryce. We had lots of fun looking at all the butterflies! Grady didn't sleep a wink and by the end he was SO tired and ready for his nap. We will definitely have to do this again when he's a little old and can climb on the honeycomb gym outside the butterfly room.

I've seen enough butterflies mom!

Ready for a nap!

Clean as a whistle!
Yesterday we went to Grady's 1st birthday party for Mckenna, he didn't sleep a wink and was so tired when we got home that he wouldn't wake up for dinner!

Goofin' around with Dad!

In my bebe chair, I sit in it a little each day!
My tummy is getting stronger each day!

Cutie Patootie!

What's with all the ear hats mom?!

Grandma Gale & Grandpa Jeff visited for a long weekend! We had fun hanging out.

All sudsed up!

Grady loves his baths! He gets one most everyday now as part of his bedtime routine. He's been sleeping through the night for quite some time, but now he goes to bed around 8:30 or 9pm and wakes up between 7:30 and 8am. He eats about 5 times a day and takes a nap in between each feeding. He loves to play in his gym and his bouncer. He's starting to laugh a little bit now and smiles constantly. He's a pretty easy going baby and very content most of the time. He's almost 17 lbs! He's off the charts. We will see just how off at his 4 month appointment! He's wearing 6 month and 6-9 month clothes and very few 3-6 month clothes. So Big!

3 months!

Grady turned 3 months old on January 3rd! He's becoming such a little boy. He smiles all the time. He has beautiful blue eyes that light up when he sees his mommy and daddy. He loves to study Berkley when he walks by. His eyes get really big and startled when Berkley wags his tail near his face.
He is definitely his Dad's boy, he loves his football chair (thanks Nana and Papa). And he loves to watch football, despite my efforts. If the game is on, he will literally try to turn his body to watch the game! I reminded Bryan that the American Academy of Pediatrics says no TV under 2 years, but that didn't seem to make a difference. Oh well, football's almost over, right?!

Book Review

"A Voice in the Wind" by Francine Rivers is one of the best books I've read in a long time! It's Historical Christian Fiction. Rivers used to be a secular author, and much of her writing shows the romance and passion that is often missing from Christian writing. The book takes place sometime shortly after the resurection of Jesus, during the fall of Jerusalem and just before the fall of Rome. Hadassah is a Christian jew who becomes enslaved to a Roman family. Her story and the story of her masters intertwine beautifully and painfully. I loved learning more about the history of that era and challenging my faith through the characters and their own faith challenges.
