Napping while Running

It's been rainy and dreary for the past several days.
I bundled Grady up for a run with Berkley and me.
Here he is before the run:
This hat used to be huge on him! My baby is growing so fast!

And when we pulled into the garage:

So precious!

Jump Around!!

Scott Visits

Bryan's brother, Scott, stayed with us for a few nights on his way to Montana for a medical internship. It was so nice to have him visit, we haven't seen him for quite awhile! And Grady had lots of smiles and goofy faces in store for him as well!

MOPS - End of the Year Meeting

We had our last MOPS meeting of the school year this month. This year was an awesome year for MOPS. I had a great table with amazing women! I have just loved my induction into Motherhood through MOPS and have made SO many dear friends! Next year I'm going to be a DGL - table leader and am looking forward to it already!

Mother's Day Weekend

My parents were in town for Grady's Dedication and Mother's Day weekend. We got some pretty cute pictures! It was a great weekend and fun to have some down time with my parents.
Smooch!

Our little family

What a sweet picture of our baby boy!

We went to the Denver Zoo Saturday, Grady's had it by the time we took this picture!
You can see him screaming his head off!

Grandma and Grandpa were ready to hold him when he was sick of the stroller!

Grady's Dedication

On Mother's Day we dedicated Grady to God at our church. This a tradition of the church passed down through the Old Testament by Hannah.
1 Samuel 1:24-28
"After he was weaned, she (Hannah) took the boy with her, young as he was, along with the three-year-old bull, an ephah of flour and a skin of wine, and brought him to the house of the Lord at Shiloh. When they had slaughtered the bull, they brought the boy to Eli, and she said to him, "As surely as you live, my lord, I am the woman who stood here beside you praying to the Lord. I prayed for this child, and the Lord has granted me what I asked of Him. So now I give him to the Lord. For his whole life he will be given over to the Lord." And he worshiped the Lord there.
Even Mary dedicated Jesus at the temple when He was born. We are very humbled and privileged to follow in their footsteps. We are so blessed by the gift of parenthood God has given us through Grady. We pray that he will grow up to be a man of God, to love him passionately and love others radically through Him. Our commitment to Him to be parents that continually point him back to Jesus and to demonstrate God's love to him.
We thank God every day that he has given us the gift of Grady!

The Dedication

What Grady is up to now...

Grady is now just over 7 months old! Can you believe it? I sure can't!!
He is around 21 lbs and close to 29 inches long!! He's such a big boy. We had to get him a new car seat (see pic below) because he had outgrown the infant car seat lengthwise!
Grady is now enjoying a variety of solid foods. I've been making his baby food & he's loving it! Here are some of his favorites:
-avacodo
- banana
- mango
- sweet potato
- carrots
- squash
- peas
- yogurt
Grady also had his first swim lesson this past week! He did really well and loves the water. He even got dunked a few times and although he didn't love that, he didn't seem to mind it much either! Good thing becuase we got a season pass to the pool for the summer so he will be a little water baby!

"...Era of Oak" - Part III

The next step in "Be Gone Era of Oak" is our kitchen table. I painted the table white and black and "modge-podged" the tabletop with scrapbook paper. I have to say this is one of my favorite transformation projects, it looks completely different! Who knew this little target table could look so pottery barn!

Ok, don't ask me what the next home improvement project is...because I plan on taking a break, at least for awhile :)

Old World Kitchen - "Be Gone Era of Oak" Part II

After refinishing the bathroom cabinets I tackled our kitchen.
I think it turned out quite well & looks like an old world kitchen.
