It's a Girl!

We had our 20 week ultrasound today and found out that we are having a little baby girl! She is moving like crazy - literally doing summersaults in my stomach, and she's very healthy! We didn't get very good pictures of her since she was so squirmy, but I will put them up on the blog when I get a chance! We're pretty excited!

Happy Birthday to Me

Today is my birthday...number 27. The day just comes and goes for me, especially in the past few years, but it is extra special when I get fun little packages in the mail....especially from dear friends whom I miss very much!

My friend Tara sent me this very me Trade Joe's birthday gift complete with my favorties: homemade tortillas, mini peanut butter cups, mini artichokes, dark chocolate and a new favorite chocolate dipped almond horn cookies! Thanks Tara (& Todd & Lauren) - it made my week!

Sidewalk Chalk

Yesterday Grady and I made a trip to Hobby Lobby to peruse the 90% off Easter section...we also found some sidewalk chalk! Grady had fun drawing and loved it when I drew different sports balls on the pavement. He's also sporting a certain shirt that a certain Daddy picked up for him on a work trip. He does look pretty cute in it....I think it'll be more accurate this summer when I'm 30+ weeks pregnant and it's 100 degrees outside!

Cousins Visit

My cousin Becky, her husband, Andy and daughter, Addisyn came down to Denver to go to a Nuggets game. We were able to go to dinner with them at Bubba Gumps downtown and have Addisyn hang out with us while mom and dad saw the game! It was fun to see them.

We've been getting out and enjoying the beautiful spring weather we have been having. Grady loves to play at the park....and so does Berkley! The trick is keeping track of both of them at the same time!

Best Buddies

Grady loves the slide! He climbs up the steps by himself and sits down (took awhile to get that through to him!) and slides down! He just smiles the whole time and giggles.

Roaring with the lions at the MGM Grand

Bucking Bronco

Easter, Easter, is Here!

We hope you had a blessed Easter! We are so blessed as a family and blessed to by our Redeemer and Savior, Christ! We are so thankful that there was a Sunday morning and the story didn't end on Friday!!

Wow! What an Easter. Grady died his first Easter Eggs...more like threw them in the dye splashing dye all over him and mama! He thinks eggs are balls, so all we heard all weekend was "ball, ball, ball!"

Grady also had Resurrection eggs that I made at MOPS. They each have a little item and verse inside that tell the story of the last week of Jesus on earth. Egg number 12 doesn't have anything in it because the tomb was empty!!

Daddy modeling Grady's Easter Basket ...spoiled boy!

Excited about eggs!

The chocolate bunny Grandma Gale gave Grady....mmm chocolate!

Sitting in the Easter basket Grandma and Grandpa Close brought Grady! He was spoiled with lots of summer clothes and new monkey swim trunks!!!

Ready to hunt Easter Eggs.

I'd like to open as we go please...

Our little family...Grady would rather run around than be held for pictures.

Grandma and Grandpa Close and Grady. They came down from Montana to celebrate with us and see Grady. We had lots of fun, but it was too short!

goofing around with Grandpa

The first belly shot for baby K#2

Carving up the turkey

Berkley would like some too...

Easter cookies

Easter dinner! We had friends over for a dessert of carrot cake, cookies and brownies! We had our sugar fix and then some!

Goofing around with Daddy! The best way to end a day...

Vegas...with kids

At the end of March we went to Las Vegas and met up with some of Bryan's old high school buddies and their families. Our friends, Pat and Amanda, live outside of Vegas and have 2 kiddos so we figured we'd go there before the rest of us get to kid#2!

For the record, Grady hates airports and planes, but he's a pretty good sport! Now that he's walking and running he'd much rather do that than sit on Mommy's lap for multiple hours!

All the other kids are girls, except baby Tyler, so Grady was surrounded by pink, princesses and baby dolls! He wasn't quite sure what to make of it (what, no balls?!) but he had a great time.

He took the stroller for a few spins.... hey at least it has wheels, right?!

We had breakfast at the House of Blues our first morning there. Breakfast was over just in time for this:

Here's Grady getting a better view of the lions at the MGM Grand Hotel! He was say "Raaaaaa" (for 'roar'). He thought the lions were pretty cool. We got to see some baby cub lions too, but Grady was more interested in their toys - "ball, ball, ball!"

We went to M&M world before lunch! Grady was amazed at all those different M&M's!

We walked through the M&M museum and Grady was fascinated with the different colorful exhibits. We also saw the 3D M&M movie, which was fun for him even if he didn't want to wear his glasses!

For lunch we ate at the Rainforest Cafe - a huge hit with the kids! They have different animals that move around and make noises at various times. Grady had several stare-downs with the gorilla during our meal!

On Saturday night our friend's cousins watched the kiddos so us adults could go out for a nice dinner and stay out a little later. We went to a great Steakhouse and went bowling afterward!

Here are all the guys and their kiddos! It'd been crazy to know this when we were younger! But they've all grown into good daddies!

Our last hooray was touring the Shark Reef Aquarium at the Mandalay Bay! Grady loved looking at all the fishies and tried to pet a sting ray, but was more excited by splashing the water than the creatures inside of it!

We stayed at the Excalibur Hotel. Here's the castle from our hotel window. We had a great time and were thoroughly exhausted by the end of it!!
