The Christmas Story

You must watch this video of the Christmas Story, it is so beautiful and hilarious because who doesn't love little kids with British accents ;)

Merry Christmas (a little late)! Hope you enjoyed time just being still with your family and celebrating Jesus' birth! We are so blessed to have a Savior that loves us so.

3 Months

I cannot believe my little girl is already 3 months old!  Wow, time just flies by exponentially when you have kids and with each new addition it goes even faster!  Lucy is a sweet little soul.

Here's what she's doing now:
She loves to coo and smile at mama
She stares in wonder and awe at her big brother
She's sleeping about 9 hours at night..usually 10:30-7:30 or so...
She loves her play gym and bats at the little elephant toy
She loves being held, usually has to sleep in her crib although she's passed out under the gym as I type...

Grady

Grady's new favorite things to say:

"I do it!" - in regards to pretty much anything, but especially jumping on mommy & daddy's bed.

"I want it!!!" - most commonly used whilst standing below his advent candy wreath (hung very high for this reason!) and pointing very excitedly at the candy canes and tootsie rolls.

Snapshots of the Season

Catching Up

Well, after our camera disappeared, I started slacking a little on the blog.  It turns out that it wasn't such a bad thing...I've been trying to spend less time on the computer and more cuddling my kiddos and just being still.

The kiddos are growing like weeds, especially Miss Lucy Etta..she is getting so big and smiley.

Grady loves to rough-house.  I suppose this should be of no surprise since we have always had tickle wars and fun throwing him in the air since he was itty bitty.  He loves to go on 'pony rides' on our backs and loves to wrestle and tickle until he can hardly breathe he's laughing so hard!  He is in such a fun stage right now (minus the two-year-old tantrums of course).

Lucy is a patient little girl.  Her big brother loves her SO much, she's practically smothered by him daily and she barely bats an eye.  She just looks at him with her big doe eyes..probably wondering what he's going to do next!  She's starting to use her hands a lot more by batting her little elephant in her play gym and grabbing mama's hair all the time. What a precious little girl she is.

We dedicated Lucy the weekend before Thanksgiving.  We were blessed to join several of our friends in dedicating their little ones.  We pledge to do our best to raise our children to love Jesus and love others.  It is by his grace we are saved and we are so fortunate to have a Savior that loves us so very much. (some more close up pictures for her dedication to come at a later time...the church has them!).

I hope you are enjoying the season of Advent (I'm reading "Watch for the Light" and loving it) and spending more time with family and friends.  I have loved cuddling with my little ones watching Christmas movies and drinking hot cocoa, breathing in the scents of the season and being still.  I hope you find time to be still too.

Free Veggies

Amazon is giving away a VeggieTales Christmas CD! For FREE. It’s called The Incredible Singing Christmas Tree and it will score you some serious cool points with your kids. Download it the VeggieTales CD here.

Grady LOVES Veggie Tales and so do I!  Seriously, they have the best humor mixed with such great lessons.  I crack up all the time when we watch them.  The Saint Nicholas DVD is our favorite right now.
